Two of our daughter’s favorite books had characters that had many interesting similarities and differences, Louise the Big Cheese by Elise Primavera and Fancy Nancy by Jane O’Connor. Here is her review:

Fancy Nancy and Louise Cheese both dream big. But their plain parents are so yucky.

Louise’s dreams are impossible, but Nancy’s dreams work. Louise thinks that everything happens by itself, but Nancy knows that things happen when you plan. In the end, Louise does not get what she wants, but Nancy does.
