Feast of the Transfiguration
of Our Lord, God & Savior,
Jesus Christ
Surrounded by darkness
In cozy contentment
A child grows inside
In mysterious confinement
Growing mouth, growing eyes
Growing nose, what surprise!
In a world without windows
What need of such supplies?
But the sweet voice of mother
Bursts clouds of unknowing
As the intimate ocean
Shrinks to a mere farthing
Growing desire
To see birth-giver’s face
Perseveres through the labor
To the moment of grace
Open mouth, open eyes
Open nose, breath arise
Transfigures the sound
Of the mother to life.
If you start Alexey off at Chenonceau, I see some very expensive tastes in the future! š
That’s just one of my randomly appearing headers… But maybe there is some divine providence in its appearance:)
